MEDIA INFORMATION
The Oklahoma Game
MONDAY PRESS CONFERENCE
Texas Tech's weekly press conference will be held at noon on Monday in the J.T. King Press Conference Room located in the south end of Jones AT&T Stadium.
Texas Tech will no longer put up a satellite feed as the university has joined forces with the Big 12 Conference and collegepressbox.com. Broadcast quality highlights will be available all season long via ftp at www.collegepressbox.com.
PLAYER/COACH AVAILABILITY
Select Texas Tech players are available for interview on Monday only. Players will be made available from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Phone interviews will be conducted at the same time on Mondays.
Coaches are available for interview each day after practice.
TEXAS TECH PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Texas Tech will practice each day this week except for Monday and interviews will follow at the conclusion of practice.
Sunday - 8 p.m. (Coaches Only)
Monday - No Practice (Select Players and Coaches)
Tuesday - 3:15 p.m. (Coaches Only)
Wednesday - 3:15 p.m. (Coaches Only)
Thursday - 3:15 p.m. (Coaches Only)
All practices are closed.
MEDIA CREDENTIALS
Members of the media who have not already requested credentials to Saturday's game must do so by 5 p.m. on Wednesday. All credentials must be submitted online at www.texastech.com (click on the media tab located on the front page).
Credentials will be issued to working press only. Press credentials are not transferable and use by anyone other than members of the working press is unauthorized.
Press credentials used in an unauthorized manner will be immediately revoked. News organizations allowing unauthorized individuals to use credentials will have their credentials revoked for the remainder of the season.
All press credentials remain the property of Texas Tech Athletics and must be returned on request.
MEDIA DINNER
The Texas Tech Athletic Media Relations Office will host members of the media (both Texas Tech and Oklahoma) at the 50-Yard Line Restaurant (S. Loop 289 and University Ave.) on Friday night. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP with media relations secretary Sheila Tucker before noon on Friday.
MEDIA PARKING
Media parking is located in two seperate lots. Please follow the directions located on the back of your parking pass.
MEDIA WILL CALL
Media Will Call is located at Gate 1 and will open at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
TELEVISION INFORMATION
Saturday's game against Oklahoma will be televised nationally on ABC Sports. There will be no postgame highlights for this game.
News stations that will be bringing satellite trucks to the game on Saturday are encouraged to contact the media relations office in advance for parking instructions. Satellite trucks are urged to arrive no later than Friday afternoon.
PRESS BOX - GAMEDAY SERVICES
The press box at Jones AT&T Stadium is located on level eight. Power outlets, wireless connection, ethernet and phone lines are located near each seat. Several telephones will be available free of charge on press row on a first-come, first-served basis. If you require a private telephone line, please contact Carmen Madrid at AT&T at (806) 472-1651 Monday through Friday. Please allow ample time for installation. FAX service is also available.
Quarterly play-by-play, offensive and defensive statistics and quotes from players and coaches from both teams will be passed out as soon as they are compiled.
Statistics and play-by-play of Texas Tech games will be available on the Internet at www.texastech.com within minutes of the conclusion of the game.
A pregame buffet will be served on the press level beginning at 5 p.m.
PHOTOGRAPHIC SERVICES
Working press photography credentials will allow photographers to work from the sideline in the areas designated by NCAA rules. The press box will have a permanent photo area for still photographers and ethernet lines will be provided. Photo credentials will usually be issued to only those newspapers having Sunday editions, specialized publications and television stations
THE SIDELINES
In an effort to insure the best possible working conditions for media photographers, uniformed security personnel will be patrolling the sidelines. Anyone holding a media pass and photo vest that is not actively involved in the coverage of the game will be escorted from the sideline. Similar procedures will be in effect in the press box.
TEXAS TECH POSTGAME INTERVIEWS
The Texas Tech locker room is closed to the media following the game. Coach Leach will conduct his postgame press conference in the JT King Room on the main level in the south endzone of Jones AT&T Stadium.
Requested players will be made available in a manner deemed most appropriate by Chris Cook, Assistant AD/Media Relations, with players being brought to the JT King Room following Coach Leach on most occasions. Media needs will always be the foremost consideration.
Texas Tech players and coaches will not do interviews on the playing field following the game with the exception of a brief interview with an originating, rights paying network or cable syndicator.
Texas Tech University is committed to a policy of equal access for both male and female reporters and photographers.
OKLAHOMA POSTGAME INTERVIEWS
Oklahoma will conduct postgame interviews in the visiting team press room which is located just outside of the OU locker room. The Oklahoma locker room is located in the southeast tunnel of Jones AT&T Stadium and is equipped with camera risers and seating for 25 people.
